If you are after a 10 stop then it would be a sound choice however screw on 10 stop filters can be a PITA as you need to set up your shot, meter it, focus (switch to manual focus once focussed or focus manually) then screw on the filter taking care not to change the focus setting. That's where panel filters like the Lee big stopper are better as they quickly slide in and out. The Lee setup is expensive and bulky though so each has negatives Leica M11 | Leica Q2 | Sony α7RV

But does ND110 generally good in the evenings too, and not just middle of the day when there will be 10-stop. Or do I need another filter for the evening? SRFOTO (Homepage)

Eddie xpfloyd lookalike More info | Jul 12, 2014 13:47 | #3013 Sometimes a 10 stop can be too much in the evenings and you end up with very long shutter speeds. For sunsets (or sunrises) I use a 3 stop GND. I normally only use my 10 stop during the day when its bright. Not saying you cant use it at night its just you may find yourself with crazy shutter times. Leica M11 | Leica Q2 | Sony α7RV

Eddie xpfloyd lookalike More info | Jul 12, 2014 14:51 | #3015 What are you wanting to shoot? If sunsets/sunrises I would say 3 stop gnd. If mid day landscapes, waterfalls etc then 10 stop would fit the bill Leica M11 | Leica Q2 | Sony α7RV
