from my XSi 450D love the ease of Rebels and would like to hear from some users which is best the T2i or T3i, did read some reviews on dpreview but again hearing from you all would help. Why no T4i on a strict budget.

You will gain a higher MP sensor. AF system is the same. XSi is ISO 1600 max. The other two go to 12,800, but it is essentially and emergency only setting. I wouldn't make the move from XSi to anything less than the 60D. My opinion.

Somebody on this forum just bought a 5d2 for less than 900 bucks.... See if you can get a deal like that.

Why not get a 60D from the Canon Loyalty Program. Keep your existing complement of glass and then just get a refurb body for around $640. Do a search here on Canon Loyalty Programfor the details. You do need to trade in a Canon product but that can be a non-working point & shoot, even off eBay.

You then also have the Xsi as a backup or 2nd body.

upgrades depend on the features and photo subjects - Do you shoot a lot of sports? 60D, 7D
want better low light performance? save more for a 5D2, 6D

I should have posted that I am not a pro just a hobbyist and that most of my shots are scenic or portraits. I never shoot sports but do some macro. I am not camera savvy either....so I have gotten along well with my 450D. Do have some good quality glass.

No need to bother with the trade in and CLP. The 60D is currently 'on sale' at Canon Direct for $640! http://shop.usa.canon.com …uct_10051_10051_276387_-1 (external link)

Canon EOS 7D | EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM | EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS |

well then the CLP will have it for even cheaper!
and yes I recommend the 60D, and if you have more money and into sports then 7D.

At $640 I would choose a 60d over a T4i because you get more for your money (the T4i costs more than the 60d).

I'm not a fan of buying a Rebel when first released ever again (got a T2i when it first came out). They put out a new Rebel once a year, and the amount you can save with a little waiting can be substantial.

A T3i is not very old but can be had for @ $400. That is an awesome price and a LOT of camera for the money. At $700 or $800... a Rebel is a little overpriced IMO AND in my experience.
