Hey Guys,

Just wanted to share with you how happy I am with my new Tokina. It is SUPER sharp. Here is a completely unedited 100% crop ISO100 f8.0 5D Mark III.

If you are thinking about picking one of these up do it!

EDIT: Crap, I realized that this should have been posted in the lens sample picture section. Please move Mods! Sorry about that.

I ordered one off eBay the other day for $700 shipped. Should be here in a day or so. I have very fond memories of my 11-16 so I'm really looking forward to receiving it.

I love my Tokina 16-28. I do alot of night tripod travel photography in cities. The only thing I will say is that the sun stars are pathetic... I upgraded from my Tokina 11-16 when I went FF and my 11-16 made beautiful sunstars! That and it flares terribly from street lights... and it's like carrying a brick around... My black rapid sport comes in handy walking around with this thing all day.

It is wicked sharp tho! :-)

I wish I would've looked into this lens more seriously. I was searching for a sharp UWA zoom a bit ago. The 17-40L is pretty good for the price, corners aren't great, the 16-35L II is a joke for the price and the corners are terrible.

I do like shooting with filters, but I might replace my 17-40L with one of these in the future. Has anybody compared the Tokina 16-28 to the Canon 17-40L? I've only seen reviews of it being compared to the 16-35L II and the general consensus seems to be that the Tokina is overall better.

Honestly, if it took filters I'd buy it in a heartbeat. ^ Everything I've read says its sharper than the 16-35L; especially in the corners.
