I never did try one, just going off of what I have read. I am looking for the same type of bag. Shoulder bags are killing me on longer hikes.

Wonder if any of my obscure camera shops would have one. I highly doubt it. Might give me an excuse to get down to NYC for a BH Trip.

Edit: BHPhoto doesn't even carry them :(

i just got myself an osprey momentum 34 backpack. I love it! I have almost the exact same needs and setup + Time spent into looking at bags.

I really just set the camera on top of all my stuff after i fill it if i am en route somewhere, but usually i have it on using my black rapid strap.

I couldnt really settle on a camera specific bag, so thats why i went with the osprey. Plus its nice for when i ride my bike to school and back.

as far as water reservoir, there is a slot where you can stuff the straps when they arent being used, and that can hold my camelbak simply... i dont think its intended for it, but possible.

Another option, thanks for the input!

I'd recommend just going through their website www.fstopgear.com (external link) as far as I am aware, they don't have any resellers, and the order process is simple enough. Plus they have a 45 day return policy if you don't like the bag.

I couldn't bring myself to do it unfortunately, I wound up picking up a medium sized 'militaryesque' bag, and a snoop insert for now, I paid about 80$ combined. We'll see how it works out.

Thanks for the help and info!

I agree as nice as they look they seem a bit to expensive for a backpack. I like Thinktank bags and I thought they where expensive but at least they will give you the tripod straps and a rain cover for less $$.
