Thanks :)

I was thinking of selling my 24-70G myself simply because I barely use it. I either go super wide (14-24mm) or tele (70-200VRII)
Wanted to add a sig 35mm 1.4 but here's the problem: when I travel with no intention of shooting anything like landscapes, I take the 24-70G. So it's a hard decision. Maybe I might go with 24-85mm + 35mm for the price of 24-70G

That makes sense.

I don't think I could get rid of the 24-70. That's been my most used lens of late. I do like the 35mm focal length though, so I will definitely get a lot of use out of the Sigma. I want to get the 16-35 VR, and I thought about the 70-200 2.8 VRII, but my 80-200 is sharp wide open so it's tough to justify it.

You need to stop reading my posts when I buy new gear. ;) I'm seriously a bad influence. ;)

I posted it for trade the first time long before you got your 5D3.

16-35mm is a perfect lens for the money! and 70-200VRII? TBH, My most used and favorite. You just haven’t experienced with a 4-stop VR yet and sharpness at 2.8.. Once you will, your “magic drainpipe” will go straight into that trash can
Oh and once you will get a 16-35VR and 70-200VRII your 24-70G will start collecting dust, trust me on that one ;)

We'll see. I do want to try out the 70-200, but the Sigma and 16-35VR will be first.

What's the beauty of using your gear if you cannot abuse it? filtered via Flickr. Much better than Instacrap :p

I wonder if the video editors on The Titanic ever went, "Sorry, I can't right now. I'm busy synching the Titanic..."

On another note, snowflakes are the most beautiful things on earth. Seriously, you can travel looking for crystals or diamonds or landscapes, but the most beautiful and exquisite sights on earth are in your own back yard.
