Finally got some shooting in again... ended up having some issues with my intervalometer so that was a little disappointing... Oh well...

I tried a longer exposure on the stream... It failed a bit... it would have been nice to have my intervalometer to have some more control over settings... oh well...

Pfft. You don't need a gimbal when you have a LINHOF 3D GEARED LEVELING HEAD WITH ARCA STYLE QUICK RELEASE PLATE!

Your head description reminds me of the way Hyacinth Bucket (that's "Boo-kay") talks.

Yeah, I had my Lee square CPL, you're right though it is a bit off, I need to see if I can figure out the editing on it later, this was just from a quick run through of my shots today.

I think I just need to mask off the upper half of the picture and deal with that alone.

Thanks. The weather was great, high of 45 but nice blue skies, but still plenty of snow on the ground. :)

I'm impressed. The 5D3 cleans up nicely at ISO 10000.

Part of me wants to try and get my hands on a 5DIII to try out.. but part of me knows if I do then I'm going to be in trouble because I will want one.

Yeah it was fun.

Just need to work on my editing skills now.

Those longer exposure shots are going to be fun... I have some with the CPL in different orientations, but I think some of the shots have some fog on the CPL, so we'll see what happens.

Ah. I normally underexpose these shots by 0.7 just to be on the safe side and not blow up highlights. Shadows are usually recovered with no problem (Nikon of course :p)

I have a few different ones, some with shorter/longer exposures so I'll sort through the more carefully and see what I can do. Snow really is a pain to shoot in (I'm certainly not used to it ). LR4 doesn't show any clipping on that shot though, but the snow does look sort of flat.

I warmed the upper half of the shot up and it seemed to help quite a bit, I just need to sit down and work on the shots.
