Shorter exposure- meaning underexposed? I don’t know what Julian is smoking but the longer the exposure the silkier the water/sky/waterfall would look :p I like to go at least 60 sec with moving water shots

Junk man. Sewrously :p better than D800/D600???

 I never said it was better than the D800/D600. I need to get out and use the 5D3 in real world scenarios. Landscapes will be a true test to see if it can hold up against my 1Ds 3.;) I told you before that Nikon has the edge in DR. :)

Ah yes.

Well my problem is I had all of my filters packed with me, and then when I went to grab my intervalometer and the LCD wouldn't display anything, and I didn't have my phone or any sort of timer, so I had to stick to shorter exposures. :(

That and i really didn't have any time to setup as I was trying to keep up with everyone. I'm not really a fan of the super silky water pictures either, I like when you can still see the movement in the water.

I was reading up on the Silent Shot mode. It's not as quiet as the Leica M9 but, it's darn good. :)

Canon 85 L @ f2, ISO 10000, SS 1/40 handheld.

Thanks. Not yet. I will when I have a chance. :) I'll test it against the D600 since the resolution is similar.

He already said that D800/D600 are better in terms of DR, no exceptions :p
