With the year coming to a close here is my top 10 DSLR/mirrorless/lenses for 2012.....

#10 - Pentax K5 II/IIs - Pentax is the brand that delivers the crop body sports camera Nikon and Canon users have been waiting for an update on.

#9 - Canon 40mm Pancake - Bring pancake lenses to DSLR bodies, hopefully a new trend.

#8 - Canon 600EX-RT - Built in radio receiver, the start of something special.

#7 - Sigma 35mm f/1.4 - A new trend in high quality Sigma lenses.

#6 - Leica M - Further modernization of a classic favorite. The mirrorless camera others try to live up to.

#5 - Canon 5D Mark III - The best of the 5D Mark II including price, combined with the performance similar to the 1Dx..

#4 - Fuji X-Pro1 - A mirrorless camera that gives a hybrid viewfinder, interchangeable lens and APS-C sensor with great style.

#3 - Olympus OM-D EM5 - First Sony MFT sensor, bringing IQ equivelant to bigger sensor bodies.

#2 - Tamron 24-70 f/2.8 VC - Everyone was waiting for a 24-70 with image stabilization and Tamron delivered it.

#1 - Nikon D800/D800E - Proof you can have a massive amount of pixels and still retain IQ and great high iso performance.

Maybe a little biased since there are 3 Canon products and no other brand has more than 1.

Intersesting. 14-24L would conceivably displace the 16-35L and be in line with Nikon setup. ;)

I agree. The only thing that won't be in line is the price!;)
