So will you get a grip or go grip free?

I am def getting a grip. They come up for sale basically new from time to time so i will wait for that. When i travel i go on vacation i leave the grip behind but all other times it is there. Def needed for the times i get shooting gigs. Invaluable in those situations. One thing is for sure the 5dmkIII is a heavier camera than the 7D.

Had a haircut at the local barbershop (for about a buck). Then had lunch with a neighboor giving us some pansit/noodle dish. Ready for a nap and feel like... reclining Buddha.

Nice farlett really enjoying your images. How as the ride?

bw!

Nice of them to help out with an umbrella! :)

 !

Oh yeah... the ride was just a quick go around the garden, but being a top a really big animal... it was very peaceful looking above everything. Maybe, that's how Hannibal felt. ;)

It was HUGE. Wasn't expecting that. We had to take off our shoes before entering. Inside it was packed and more hot and humid. I was sweating like crazy. Lots of photogs/gwc jockeying for spots. Everyone was friendly and corteous though. There were signs however to be wary of pickpockets.

I tried to shoot from different angles and the lighting was difficult.

Hmm just from the two shots you have posted it seems like it was tough to shoot. Maybe a tokina 11-16 or canon 10-22 could have helped a bit :D

Nice long vacation! :D

Accomodations at my old home is quite sparse. Pretty much roughing it. I could've opted to stay at a hotel but that may have been considered rude to family.

There's a seat at the top wide enough for two, so they know to keep the tourist comfortable enough. The only safety is a wide vinyl belt with velcro they strap on your lap. Heh.

Oh how I wish I had a 16-35 or even a 24-70. The widest I had was the 28mm.
