this was in the dark with city lights. at ala moana park. you can do these to practice.

I normally find landscape shots a bit boring. I really like this one.
Definitely print worthy.

We ordered a tripod for dad's birthday, and when it came, the legs were perfect, but the head was broken. So I got a return number for it, but didn't get it packed up yet, and it was sitting in the living room, set up. WHERE do you think the cat sharpens her claws? Of course, on the grips. Now we can't return it. She's a likeable enough cat, but I'm not happy with the little varmint right now. I wonder if the video editors on The Titanic ever went, "Sorry, I can't right now. I'm busy synching the Titanic..."

I don't think so. I'm on the cat's side. You don't leave things that are important or breakable lying around where the ycan be gotten to by pets or infants. Everyone with pets or infants know that, or will be given the opportunity to learn it damned quickly. You been given a learning opportunity. Whether you'll learn is a different matter entirely. It's not really breakable; or at least, I didn't think it was. As much as she gets gotten after when she claws the chair, you'd think she'd have known better. I wonder if the video editors on The Titanic ever went, "Sorry, I can't right now. I'm busy synching the Titanic..."

True, but typically, a tripod would be thought of as 'unbreakable' from a cat's standpoint. I wonder if the video editors on The Titanic ever went, "Sorry, I can't right now. Some of the slower aperture lenses don't even perform their best until you get all the way down to f/11 but even then won't be as sharp as the more expensive faster lenses which are often built with better glass and coatings. Thanks but this is where I'm getting confused-typically landscapes are shot at f8-f15 for depth of field. Why would you want f2.8 for example?
