Kind of silly if he already has a 35L. Pretty much the same thing. Used 35L going for about $1k now. He'd get $200-$250 at most in that "downgrade". And it's not like the Canon will lose much value in the future, even if it's replaced. Did you give him the receipt for the 5-year warranty?

Probably. At least my D800 kit will be slightly different than before. I considered a D4 but I want the pixel density and cheaper price tag.

Ah yes, I'd pick a D800 over a D4 any day. You can get a few serious primes for the remaining 3k

I’m a complete sucker when it comes to 200mm f/2!!! Maybe It’s time for a purchase one of these? I will get around 4.5k back from taxes... Either 200mm or a newer car..
