I have on order an EOS 7D and 15-85 lens kit, which I hope will arrive tomorrow. :D The lens is currently subject to a £55 cashback from Canon and I was wondering if the cashback still applies, despite the fact it is a part of a kit. Can anyone confirm either way please?

PS: Not quite sure I have posted this in the correct forum, if not would a mod please move.

If you went through a cashback site they should only detect the amount you paid in total (and the percentage that is supposed to be cashback) and not what you bought.

I'm not quite sure if I made my question clear. I meant would I get the £55 cashback on the 15-85 lens, which Canon is offering at the moment. I did purchase the kit through a cashback site and £30 has already been tracked on the whole purchase price.

However, I have since found out that I can get the Canon cashback on the lens, even though it was purchased as a kit.

Oh so you're doing something like a mail in rebate? Hm. Good question. I'm not sure if it's a separate UPC for the camera itself and the lens itself or if it's a different, single UPC for the kit. If they are separate, it might qualify, assuming the vendor you purchased it from is part of the qualifying rebate vendors.
