Choosing the right 27" monitor

I'm finding 24" 1080p small nowadays for photo editing and am looking to upgrade to 27"

currently my top 3 choices are
HP ZR2740w
Asus PB278Q
Dell U2711 on sale right now for $779

which one would you recommend on getting?
i know the u2711 is excellent but how does it compare with the new 27" monitors?

the SyncMaster S27A850D would be nice but I'm not looking to spend over $800 unless this is good

They'll all be fine. The Dell will have the widest gamut because of its CFL backlights, but the HP and Asus (which probably use the exact same panel) will be more consistent and durable because of their LED backlights. Personally, I'd take the HP over the Asus over the Dell.

take a look at Dell's U2713 too.

^i have and a little over my budget, might get the HP then since my boss always give us 200$ giftcards to amazon

The 2713 was 650 at costco, may still be at that price
