2 shots of a USN Orion departing RAF Leuchars. Both shots at 400mm loaded @ actual Pix in dying afternoon light. Comments welcome. Ground shot distance estimated 3/4 mile

That first shot puts it in a nice environmental context - good action and framing on the second. You were working with some distance challenges there jock.

Your exposures are a bit hot though. First is maybe 1/2 over, and the second is perhaps a full stop. The sitting shot can be totally fixed but you may have totally lost pixels in the second; pretty time of day. Btw, you have quite a gallery of maritime photos; checked out some of your pix.
