Dec 03, 2012 19:44 | #18 Great capture and great colors along with a steady hand. There should be a small sign in the viewfinder that reads "Objects in the viewfinder may be closer than they appear.". Down here in Georgia I call them Cotton-Mouth-Water-Rattlers! Got a camera, some cheap glass, one nice glass, a PC which doubles as my darkroom and a lot to learn - and having fun learning.

I HATE those darn things and you're a better person than I am...I would have introduced it to a .20ga shotgun. 350D w/Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II --- T2i w/Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II, Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS, Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II, Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG Macro, Yongnuo TTL Flash Speedlite YN-465, Canon SX50 HS, Panasonic Lumix DMC - FZ200

I have run into the problem photographing herps that the scales on reptiles and wet skin of amphibians will reflect the surroundings. I have use polarized filters to help in some situations. still a good photo either way, you might try to play with shadows and brightness in editing, or adjust the blue out in selective color editing.
