Oh, I think #2 is a stretch...
I'll grant that she's been on quite a roll over the last year or so with some unique subjects, unique formations and unique locations.
There are several who've been doing it for a lot longer at just as high a level.
Bowen
Munson
Koepnick
Ringinger
McKenna
Haynes
...are names that jump immediately to mind. Jessica is certainly cutting a pretty wide swath right now, but she (in my opinion) doesn't have the depth (yet) that these six names have.
I'm not trying to downgrade the long-term, high quality images that those folks have been producing. I personally tend to really be drawn to the images that Jessica creates over say, Jim's or Paul's images. For me, Tyson is way up there too, but I'll say 1/8 of his images really strike me where as 1/4 of Jessica's really impress and amaze me. It could be that she just doesn't have the depth yet (as you mentioned) and as we see more of her work come out we'll see more "common" images but I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens! I am a big fan of really tight, high-action shots and she consistently produces outstanding images that exemplify what I am drawn to. I guess that's the beauty of opinions and art (in the larger sense)!
But then again Im a n00b when it comes to aviation photography, but still love his work
