Yes, but barely. Two neighbors lost their homes entirely, as did hundreds of others who live several miles away. Although the vegetation on our property was all burnt to the ground, the emergency fire crews were able to save the house itself, as well as the fruit trees and the garden that are right next to the house. It was the largest fire in the history of the state of Washington, and was finally 100% contained just last week.
