Joined the club, got my 6D on Friday after I had done a lot of research.

I knew from the beginning that I was going to keep my 7D (I mostly shoot birds), so the "panic" mood regarding the 6D's AF system did not affect me :) (and only those seem to panic who never used one)

Whenever I shoot birds I use my 7D anyway for the APS-C reach (and for its AF system/tracking).

Actually, the 6D's AF is more than sufficient. For what I bought the 6D (portraits, events, which I also do occasionally and hopefully more often in the future), its AF system is good. The center point is very good, but I haven't experienced any difficulties (yet) using the other points either.

I tested the low light capability of the 6D's AF and yes, in my fairly dark living room both my 7D and my 40D choked, hunted, could not focus, where my 6D locked on target in a little over a second (using the exact same lens).

A few more from the weekend. This first shot I posted just because I thought this was really interesting... the spinning thing above the stick is a cricket. There was a fish in this tank that spit at the cricket to knock it off the stick and into the water, pretty awesome.

ok, just a really elementary question.

is there something about images from a FF camera that just look like it comes from a FF camera?

I continue to be impressed with the images on this thread and surely I cant be the only one who can spot the differences in images taken on a larger sensor camera?

I cant describe what specifically it is, but there is "something" a FF camera delivers that a crop cannot.

please tell me I am not the only one....

You aren't the only one. To me, the files just looked "fuller" or had better color SOOC than they did with my 7D or T3i. I tried out a 5D and then was hooked...so finally landed on a 6D when they came out. Could be a placebo effect...but I'm fine with that too :)
