Or use it with a Kenko 1.4x TC and have a 14-30mm. I use my Tamron 17-50 f2.8 with a Kenko 1.4x TC and it makes a very nice 24-70 f4 lens.

Are you shure that it would not damage glass in extender?

I don't believe so. The Kenko extender does not protrude into the lens like the Canon version does.

Yes but with some tweaking, you need to remove plastic part from lens mount (it's reversible) in 10-22 and never ever set it wider then 13-14mm because mirror would hit in protruding lens element. Google for it.

I have used my Sigma 10-22 on my 6D. No lens element protrusion, just vignetting below about 15mm.

I just tried mounting the 10-22 on my Kenko 1.4x TC. Same restrictions apply as mounting it to the body. You need to pop out the plastic piece and you can't go wider than 12mm. Bummer.
