I had some one hold the speed lite or I also shot one cam in hand speed lite in the other if they were not doing it right enough for me. I did ask the owners for a little patience and had them pose/stage for the shot. I like to do a lot of indoor/ low-light photography with still/slow subjects, so I love the 6D for that usage and thus am very satisfied with it. No gripes at all so far, to be honest. I'm actually forcing myself to think of something that I dislike about this camera as I type this and I can't think of anything right now... maybe something will come up the longer I use it? That being said, on the rare occasion I want to photograph sports, I take the 60D instead. I like the longer reach and the AF seems a tad bit faster. And that's a 60D, which pales in comparison to a 7D in those situations. So I can see if someone's primary interest is sports photography and they get a 6D, they might not be too happy with it (but I don't know why even a semi-informed consumer would get a 6D if they are a sports shooter). I got the 6D over the 5D Mark III because of budget. Not necessarily affordability, I could shell out the extra $1000 or whatever it is without affecting my finances. I just didn't feel comfortable paying that extra for all that camera which seemed a bit more than what I'd need. Then again to be honest I could probably get by with a T3i and a speedlite since I'm not a pro. VicSkimmr wrote in post #16173048 for me, the ceilings I keep banging off of are the slow FPS and 1/4000 limit on the shutter. we'll probably pick up a 7D as a sports/birding body in the near future, but we do little enough of that to really matter right now. But don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore my 6D. Thanks guys, this was very helpful to me as I'd considered all these points. Life in Full Colour I seems like the 6D is the perfect tool for that job. Decision made, a 6D it is (unless anyone want to throw something else into the pot?) Thanks again guys, I really appreciate your support ![]() Cheers, Jeff Canon EOS 1DX | Canon EOS 6D | 16-35mm f/2.8 L MKII | 24-70mm f/2.8 L MKII | 24-105mm f/4.0 L | 100mm macro f/2.8 L | 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS MKII | 400mm f/5.6 L | EF 2x II | 580 EX II | MR-14EX |
