Really the biggest "downgrade" the 6D has vs. the 5dII that we could see is the 1/4000th max shutter speed. That aside, the 6D is better in pretty much every way, not to mention being an almost 5 years newer design. So if you can live without 1/8000th max shutter speed the choice should be easy IMO. This. And it seriously is a non-issue. If you need to shoot wide open in direct sunlight, buy a ND filter. I debated it briefly, but after reviewing the 6D's dynamic range improvement and noise performance it's a no brainer. The 6D high ISO images are very clearly better than the 5Dmk2's. I love that the 6D's noise just looks like film grain, there's very little banding in the shadows, awesome! Fuji X-T3 // Fuji X-Pro2 (Full Spectrum) // Fuji X-H1 // Fuji X-T1

It's a tremendous challenge shooting fast action in a poorly lit arena with pulsating lights to boot! My name is James ~ Gear

That is one thing, but I rarely use that high, maybe only sunny day with a 1.8 or so but if thats the case can use ND. I was messing with both of them in the local store and did find the mkii to feel a little more ergonomic in my hands. Easier for me to hit all switches on mkii being that its a little bigger. But I do like that it is a little smaller for when I travel
