I just took the plunge and ordered. I don't have mine yet but the wait to get it starts now. I got the kit because I think it is too good to pass up getting the 24-105 at a nice discount.

Congratulations!
It is a good lens. Not sure how lenses are scored but it gets the same score of 9 as the new 24-70mm f/4L IS at FM Reviews.

So I've had my 6D for about a month now and it's been such an absolute pleasure to use. Coming from my 7 yr. old Rebel XT, the ISO, AF, resolution, EVERYTHING blew me away. I've always been used to the focus-recompose technique so using center point AF was natural for me.

That -3EV focusing threshold really intrigued me, so I decided to give it a shot one night. Our family went to the Del Mar 'Holiday of Lights' before Christmas (unfortunately a complete waste of time and money) and there was really nothing interesting to shoot at all. It really felt like we paid to be in a giant 'traffic' circle around the Del Mar racetrack to see Christmas lights 100 yards away from the car.

Anyways, I digress. I was able to see how well this AF system accuracy was really like in low, low light and wow...

RAW converted to JPG, 28mm, 1/30, f/1.8, ISO 256000, color balanced adjusted in post and chroma NR set to 14 and sharpness 0 in DPP:

Whichever camera you're using I am still a fan of your awesome landscapes and starscapes, will follow on Flickr.

Add me to the list of people who want to know what you thought of the 6D - I presume Canon sent it to you so you will write a full review with your thoughts on your website? I would love to read it.

Will let you know when something is readable.. Canon still havnt done much over the EOS M I had in November..

I cant say too much but the results kinda speak for themselves..

This thread had inspired me to purchase my very first dslr camera on the weekend - went straight for the 6d + 24-105l lens kit.

I’ve got a couple of jpeg Auto shots I would like to upload onto this thread, though how to I go about doing this due to the large file size?.

And definitely do a little research and most importantly EXPERIMENT! Auto is pretty great on modern DSLR's, but you can produce even better shots when you have an understanding over Manual exposures. Read up a bit on aperture, shutter speed and depth of field and then you'll be in a good point to get started
