kiwichris I forget how I didded that! More info | May 05, 2014 04:48 | #10472 UmphreyBogart wrote in post #16882658 I've tried that....Can't do it. My wife is pregnant and refuses to go on shoots with me so I hired a second/assist for things like this. Well done sir. Almost looks like you hit her with the gold not so strong from afar! Years ago I used to make reflectors out of 1/8th thick chip board, don't know what you would call it, board made of compressed woodchips, it is very brittle but any stiff board will do. I had one painted white with a simple flap on the back so it would stand itself up, much like a photoframe and paint the rough side with white. Had a pale pink one, and a pale blue one, and two silver ones useing the bright side of cooking foil and the satin side of the same. The ones with foil I would crumple the foil first then smooth it out to act like a diffuser, not mirror perfect. I have also put various hard reflectors together and bounce flash out of them, usually reversing the flash and letting the reflecters push the light into the pic, could get some quite stunning results, particularly when working with products. Of course this was in the days of manual only film cameras and the 50mm lens the norm (kit lens) All flash was off camera Panasonic Lumix G9 and some lenses

May 05, 2014 09:39 | #10479 I don't want to open an old can of worms but can someone possibly link me to some info regarding hss and the 6D? The majority of my shoots end up being in midday sun. I currently am using cheap speedlites but am looking to make some new lighting purchases And want to make sure I'm not wasting my time or money. I'm pretty new to off camera flash. Thanks! 6D

I'm just beginning to take an interest in macro. Nice results here Mike! Which lens were you using? I've used extension tubes with my 40mm and find the DOF is extremely narrow, even with only the shortest ext tube. Makes the tubes tough to use handheld (at least for my shaky hands). My name is Jeff, not actually Jose Canseco.
