I'm still on the fence about keeping this camera or going with the Nikon D610. My biggest disappointment is the AF system. Combine the iffy AF with a slower lens like the 1.8 50mm plus twilight hours and it drove me crazy. The sensor is fantastic though...

You can't put crappy glass on this body and expect it to perform in the most difficult citations.

I agree with Danny. Although the 6D is no 5DMkIII or 1Dx, judging a $2,000 camera by the performance of a $100 lens doesn't make much sense.

^ gorgeous snake :) wish we had snakes in NZ, there's nothing scary here apart from Yeti's and Katipo Spiders.

nah mate, let Aussie keep the snakes. We do ok without them here

I'm fascinated by them and watch them on tv all the time, but really have a fear of them. Love the photo of the Parrot snake though.

Oh great I said something valid! :) really tho the nifty is the only lens I own ATM and on the 6d it's pretty good not amazing but it focuses when I need it to. But when it comes to low light the 50 f/1.8 won't do good on any body and that's fact... Does the D610 have superior focusing system.. I would venture to say yes but in the same citation with the equivalent lens (50mm f/1.8D) you're going to get the same results

The D610 is one of, if not, THE most highly regarded cameras in the segment.
