Finally got around to doing the dot tune thing and sorted my lenses out.

My 85mm ended up being -9. Sounds a long way out - perhaps I did it wrong?

I used the tethered method here: http://www.ophrysphotography.co.uk …allensmicroadjustment.htm (external link) and my 85 ended up at +8. When I get a chance, I'll try again using the dot tune method.

It seems like dot tune would take a while having to go into the menus each time to make the adjustments.

My name is Jeff, not actually Jose Canseco.

I think maybe 3 or 4 button presses after each one. Don't know about the tethered method, but I found dot tune pretty easy (assuming I did it right)

probably not, just a good time of day. All the house lights are on, so it was getting dark.

Double M, how are you bringing the MW out so much? I have what looks like the same 'part' of the MW, but I can't get the depth that you get. Am I doing something wrong in post, or is it just not dark enough where I'm shooting?

The settings I use (and lens) help bring out the MW, I do relatively minor editing nowadays :) also we have pretty dark skies over here in NZ.
