May 31, 2014 09:21 | #11149 I haven't been on POTN in a while. I've been shooting "professionally" lately and it's great to make some money doing it. I've had about five paying jobs now. All but one were for people I know (neighbors and co-workers), and one was for a family who just adopted. I got paid to be a second shooter at an event as well. So I've had much less time to casually enjoy this webpage (been editing). Little Eli, adopted three months ago from China and already speaks pretty good English. Another adoption portrait (I forgot the little girl's name). Eli with his new brother and sister. My neighbors who hired me to make some springtime portraits. We stumbled upon this location, which just happened to match their outfits. Note: Those are the same train tracks where they filmed several episodes of The Walking Dead this past season. They are overgrown and normally ugly, but with wildflowers blooming they look pretty cool. I know train tracks photos are cliche, but many clients still want them, and if that's what they want then that's what they get. But also, these particular tracks are unused, so they have a little more beauty to them in the spring, as mentioned. Finally, a casual graduation portrait. I taught this young man when he was in my fifth grade class. I taught him social studies, and it stuck. He's love it ever since and will go to Georgia Southern to study political science. Nice kid (Alex). Sony A7 III and some lenses

I love the little guy on the phone. The perspective for the one with the girl by herself on the tracks is a bit strange. There is no indication that she has any legs. :/ Sorry, it just strikes me as odd. I think those are steps rather than tracks. Having said that, a faster lens may have been better in reducing the "busyness" of the surrounding area. But still very nice pics.... Dave

Pretty nice as it is though. Getting better at this - Fuji X-t5 & X-t3 - 16 1.4 - 35/50/90 f2 - 50-140 - flickr

Liking the images I'm seeing from the 6D and wonder how many of you jumped from the 5dII to it. I shoot nothing that moves and hardly ever use my flash so should I make the move since the price difference isn't that much of a spread or just be happy with the MarkII.
