Hey everyone,

Haven't posted in a while, I've been abroad, living in Australia and will be for the next 5 months. It's quite the experience, traveling with just a 50mm lens and a full frame camera, but I do love my 6D.
Here's just two photos I've taken (both about a month ago) I can post more if you guys are interested :)

The 24-105 also is a zoom lens, also sharp and great IS... and longer reach and above this all a lot cheaper... :)

The only benefit of the 24-70/f4.0 is the macro function IMO?

The 24-70 is lighter, which is what you'd like in a walkaround lens, and from what I understand the AF is really quick

Welcome to Australia Shane. We're did you come from? Looks like you're in Sydney, lots of interesting things to shoot there.

Thanks man! I'm from Vancouver, BC originally, here for a while on a working visa. Sydney was truly inspiring, in my 8 days there I think I took 600 photos lol.
I'm loving photographing the Australian seascapes all up the east coast.

how big is the 6D's viewfinder? it's 97% coverage...but is the size of the viewfinder as big as like a 7D or 5D?

(not that it matters anymore for me since I'm married to this D600 now, but I just wanted to know). Thanks

Not sure what the measurements mean but take from snapsort
6d 0,71x
5d mk iii 0,71x
7d 0,62x
1dx 0,76x
And I'll throw some rebels in as you were quoting in the other thread that they had the same size viewfinder as the 6d
Canon 650d 0,53x

Nikon d600 0,70x

so the viewfinder isn't as small as a rebel? I believe 6D uses a pentamirror instead of the better pentaprism (larger and brighter)...which I think even the 60D has. For sure the 7D has the pentaprism

Well I had a 60d before and can tell you when I first looked through the 6d viewfinder it was like opening my eyes for the first time. What do you hope to achieve hanging around here? Are you trying to feel good about your d600? Don't they have a Nikon forum you can go and play in.

I'm pulling the trigger on the canon 24-70mm f/4L here soon. I think it will be a great walk around lens with the 6d

I was waiting for this lens to be released With the 6D as a kit but it was taking forever so I opted for the Sigma 24-70 f2.8 . Haven't had much of a chance to use it yet but so far so good.

Can someone help me with embedding my Facebook link into a single word. (Hope that makes sense? )

Anybody know if there is a huge difference in quality between the 5D2 and 6D?

I have a 5D2 and just got a 6D last night. The biggest difference to me was in size. The 6D feels smaller and lighter, less metal, more plastic and rubber. Feels different in the hand and will take a little getting used to. Overall, it still feels solid, and the quality is good.

I cant wait until the weekend to get out and shoot with it.
