color fringing

If I use a sigma achromatic macro filter in front of an Apochromatic lens, will the apochromatic lens correct the omitted color from the achromatic filter? From what I understand an Achromatic lens setup only corrects 2 of the 3 primary colors while Apochromatic setups color correct all 3 primary colors to prevent color fringing and chromatic aberrations.

No, it won't. The Apochromatic lens is made to self correct from the color divergence that it itself genertes as it bends the light rays. It doesn't fix incoming stuff.

Ok cool thanks. Now this makes me wonder which color is going to fringe when I use the sigma macro filter. I wonder why no one has created an apochromatic macro filter
