EOS M AF Speed for EF/EFS Lenses

So far I have been very happy with my EOS M. Today my daughter and I were taking photos around the house using the EOS M with my 17-40; then my EFS 17-85 and then with a 70-200 F4L IS. The 17-40 and the 70-200 both focused noticeably faster than the 17-85. Has anyone else noticed a AF speed difference between EF and EFS lenses?
