Great capture! really communicates the emotion invoked. Tells a story very well!

I like this sort of history telling pictures. This particular shot is superb, emotionally and artistically great.

agreed, the wall is an inspirational place for reflection.

I took this one back in 1988 with an old disk camera...

Nice capture; works for me.

I've visited the memorial only once. A somber, and sobering, experience.

In the 80's and early 90's I was in DC about once a month for meetings, and each time I thought about visiting this monument. I'd seen the moving wall once when they brought it to Stanford, I rode my bike by it, wanting to go look but couldn't. In DC, I started walking there 4 or 5 times and turned around, one day it snowed a bunch and the city was shut down. I figured it would be pretty deserted and a good time for me to go. There were no tourists there, but there were a couple of people there to help look up names, I can't recall if they were in uniform. I asked them where the Nov 15, 1965 names would be and they pointed me to a panel. I easily found my names, and stood there crying. It's hard to think about, even now. I never went back.
