Were any of those taken on a boat? I took a similar shot, less successfully, while on one of the lake michigan cruises. I didnt have a tripod so I got tons of motion in the lights.

No, those were taken at the Museum campus and Buckingham Fountain.

This one was one on a cruise. I had a tripod, but the city is a little "soft because of the movement. Fortunately it doesn't show significantly until a print is past 8x10 so it works in an album. (Groom arrived in the states from Afghanistan about 6 days before the wedding.)
