Thanks Qbx and Flo.
@ Qbx: It's a straight forward shot of water drops falling on a lit candle. The 1st drop killed the flame & the 2nd is falling towards the candle. A second flash was pointed towards the background.
@ Flo: The drop is in focus, but is moving, causing some blurring. I think my power setting on the flash was set too high, allowing a bit too much movement in the drop.

thats got to be difficult but I like it because its different.

Hope you dont mind me suggesting, but what if you were to do this:
blow out the candle first, dont want you burning yourself or your house down :D
coloured card or something you can auto-focus on and place at top of candle where
wick begins.
remove card
light candle and do bursts. Might get lucky and get both in focus, perhaps a slightly higher F number (2.8/3.5) so theres more of a focus range?

Ive never tried something like that so Im totally guessing :/

True, I think its due to motion blur.

Great shot! Love how the drop is displacing the smoke.

Another attempt, but still some motion blur present.

Thanks Carlh, Qbx and StaticMedia. I'll keep trying, until I get rid of the motion blur.

I wish the water drop was sharp.
