I'm looking to purchase a hard case for the equipment in my SIG. Any recomendations? I want something sturdy and reasonable priced. I already have an OLD soft bag. I had considered a backpack case, but I have a nice backpack to use when I hike.

Thanks

Get a roller. Recommend Tamarac, Lowepro.

Pelican also makes good hard cases that come with custom-able foam inserts.

Any bag with a hard case, recommend a wheeled case.

Thanks. Would the roller cases be to large? On the other when traveling the roller cases are great. My suit case is a roller case.

I use a Pelican 1510 roller case. One of the best accessories I own. It also fits in the overhead on the airline. Extremely tough and O-ring sealed. I also use Pelican dessicant pack inside to keep everything nice and dry.

Reviving this thread to ask if you've checked this bag at the gate in the past? If not, are you comfortable with the idea that you might have to next trip?

Another vote for Pelican cases, there are many to choose from and they are tough and watertight.

does anyone know why the pelican devider sets are *SO* expensive? at about 50 pounds ($100?) they just seem extortionate!

They are, but check around and you can generally find them cheaper. Also, ebay is a good place to look.
