Just $200 more for a new one on Amazon.

Canons to the left, Canons to the right,
We hold our L glass toward the light,
Digitizing in a snap reflective glory
That will forever tell our imaged story.

I feel canon fails to understand that there is a huge difference between resale value of a lens and a camera. They pull these stunts with lenses and get away with it...unfortunately that does not work well with cameras...

Canon refurbish regular prices are generally the same as new ones for even lenses when there are rebates. Refurb discount is standard 20%. The important news here is that it is now available as refurb. If and when they include it in CLP or in 20%-off promotion then it will be a good deal

It won't qualify. I don't think the 5D2 qualified (could be wrong). Speaking of 5D2, its not even listed anymore. Employee discount is 79¢ haha. I paid $25 more for a brand new one, shipped and no tax. Tax will kill the deal for me as well.

Yeah, it doesn't qualify at the moment, but this time next year, you never know.

Well they did reduce the MII to 10% this year, so I doubt when it does make it to CLP that it will be more then 10%.

I doubt it will make it to CLP til next fall.
