new 70-200L 2.8is2--odd color

I just received my brand new 70-200L mark2 and I thought they are usually whiter than the one mine is...

I rented 2 this year and thjought they were different color??? maybe I am just over reacting, Thanks for any info in advance

i got mine last week 0 same colour - try a flash while shooting and get the white lens look

Totally normal color; they aren't *actually* white

Picked mine up about a week ago, and was thinking the exact same thing.


Canon 5D Mark III (Gripped), Canon 7D (Gripped), 70-200mm 1:2.8 L IS II USM, 24-105 L, 28-135mm, 75-300mm, 50mm 1.8, 580 EXII, Canon ST-E3-RT, Canon 600EX-RT X's 3 And not nearly enough time/good weather to enjoy it.

Yeah, they are a beigeish color. Nothing wrong here at all.

Thanks for the quick responses, I have used a mk1 and thought the color was a lot different on the mk2 but not really. thanks again to everyone

you had me concerned when I saw the thread title, since I also just ordered the same lens last week. I was happy to find out it's the color of the lens you were referring to, not the colors it produces!
