Nice - would love to see details of what you did. Is it some desaturation trick?

No trick. And it only takes 2 seconds, literally. Open the photo in the Development module of LR. Go to LENS CORRECTIONS. Click the COLOR tab. Check the REMOVE CHROMATIC ABERRATIONS box. Pick up the eye-dropper and click on the offending color fringe. Gone! Really, it only takes seconds.

OK, BrandonSI beat me to the punch, and with a much more thorough answer. The above instructions will get you to the same place.

TL;DR - In LR4 / Lens Corrections / Check 'Remove CA', and use the dropper tool.

Thx - must get LR4!

I got my 85 1.8 today. Such a capable chunk of glass.

This lens has passion written all over it.

True about razor thin DOF.

You just have to love fast primes, the wiser choice.

PS, Some shots from my new Canon 85 1.8. I love it!!!

What 85mm 1.8 did you use before this?

I have always heard good things from this lens never tried it yet.

So THAT's how to remove CA from my 85 1.8 pictures! I just upgraded 2 weeks ago to LR4 from 3 and never got that 'deep into' LR3.

I did a shoot 2 weeks ago of a big band performance (18-20 instruments plus 2 singers) with nothing more than their music stand lights for illumination. No discernable CA with my L lenses, but with the 85, each of their lights had some purple fringe in one corner. Not knowing the 'easy' way fix CA shown above, I simply cloned nearby areas to eliminate it.

Why did I buy the 85 f1.8? I'd read about it's sharpness and usability, and for $1400 or so less than the f1.2L, it's definitely a winner! It's the only non-L in my bag

The 85 is just such good bang-for-buck. One of the very few non-L Canon primes of similar specs/build, for example the 28 F/1.8 and 100 F/2. The 85 is just so cheap I guess because it's so popular and economy of scale has done its thing.
