Jackyl - 12.2.12 Grand Raids, MI

It's Jackyl, the band with the chainsaw! Last show of the tour, so it was pretty wild and the crowd was really into it. CRAZY bright lighting for this venue too. I usually shoot here between 6400-12800 & f/2.8 but most of my stuff was @1600 & f/4. Jackyl bringing in their own spotlight was a big help too.

Thanks René. I agree about the closeups. Didn't get many of them because I was confined to the right side of the pit (in front of the bass player) for the first 3. And my shots of the singer didn't look that great because of the giant spotlight + shadows on his face. :/

Wow! A real chainsaw? WTF?? How did that pass safety code?!!
