Big crops, but a very interesting bird. I had been trying to see it for a few years. Finally as I was saying to others, this is where we are supposed to see it. ( not seeing it) Then suddenly it flew across the road in front of us. Lucky day.

What an amazing looking bird, Rex, and great shots of it, despite the big crops. Wonderful that you got to see and photograph it. A unique bird!

Miles, I don't know the odds, but I have seen at least a half dozen plus different species of birds like this and one partial deer.
Gail, you're right. I was birding today and telling fellow birders, that were with me, when I got this bird, about your leucistic dark-eyed junco. They are fun to see.
