This is at my site as of today. Lots of threads these days about the new 70300IS with 1.4xTC. I've also posted how my 70200IS fares with a 1.4xTC (stop down folks!):

Illuminating.
Expected.
Looks like consumer lens peaks performance at 2-stops down and L lens at 1-stop+ down. F/4 vs f/8.
Looks like consumer lens did well.
Looks like Tamron TC works well.
