Interesting. These always looked strange to me with the corrugated construction. It's like the Germans ran out of aluminum and started to build from tin roofing material. Neat plane.

That very well may be the case. I always figured it was an early aircraft construction technique to increase the buckling stability of the fuselage skin while not increasing the skin thinckness (weight). Ford had the same idea.

that's an awesome picture though. I've always wanted to shoot a Ju52... A little bit of a rare sight in southern california.

Yeah, tried it in B&W, but it looks far better in colour. The photo was taken at Duxford in the UK and the sun came out at just the right time after a very damp day.
