Hi. I am trying to create an edge mask for capture sharpening and am not sure if I am following Fraser's steps correctly. I am not questioning the settings; I am just not sure what I should do to finalize after sharpening, and Fraser leaves that out. Here are my steps as advised in Fraser's article http://www.creativepro.com/story/feature/12189.html (external link)

1. Duplicated image
2. Converted to B+W by copying green channel and hiding the rest of the channels
3. Did Filter>Stylize>Find Edges
4. Gaussian Blur
5. Inverted
6. Levels to increase contrast
7. Load Selection (Choosing Source as Green channel copy)
8. Unsharp Mask

Ok. Now what? Can I just delete the copied green channel?

Yes.

You can take my 100-400 L away when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.
