See those picts; The first are with Sigma 35mm f1.4, the others with 50mm f1.8.

The effect change depending on the shutter speed/ISO numbers.

f1.4, 1/800, iso3200

Tried to change the white balance from Auto to Tungsten. Everything is more blueish but at high ISO the green wave invade the image anyway.

There's no problem with the camera.
These pics were taken under fluorescent lights and the effect you are seeing is caused by the cycling of the lights.

Thanks phil for your reply. Strangely I never noticed this problem with my t3i... I'm going to try right now! (hey you can see the pictures!)

The first one loads ok for me (young bloke skipping)
You just need to rotate it though.
Second one, I clicked on the link and saw it ok as well.

Yeeeeaaaaaah! the t3i is doing it too when bumped over 1/2000. It's a lot more strong on the Ful Frame though.

What are the consequence of this? You just need to keep a lower shutter speed? I though that problem was only for video. Haaaa, I understand, it's a bit like the rolling shutter effect. The time your pixel are recorded from up to down, the cycle of the light change and you get a shadowy wave!

Brilliant! I'm so glad it's not the cam!!

No real consequences - just annoying effects on your pics.
It's been brought up plenty of times just do a forum search and you'll find all the answers you need.
I don't explain it well enough to be of any real help.

Ah, yes, the joys of 60hz and flourescent lights. To capture an entire up/down cycle you'll need to not go faster than 1/60. Or replace your lights with LED/incandescent :)

It is enough to capture just half a cycle (a cycle is 0>max +voltage>0>max -voltage), so don't shoot faster than 1/120 (or 1/100 where the current is 50 Hz.

Your shutter speed is faster than the cycling of the fluorescent lights :) It's annoying, I know. Just be concious of it when you enter a place with that kind of lighting.
