The pair of Fox's I have in my yard like this stump and always investigate it if they come near it. The Squirrels like to eat their bounty on it (black walnuts from my neighbors yard) and I think the Fox's know there may be some leftovers on top of it.

This is my first "action" shot of one of them jumping onto the stump...usually I just get static shots of them.

Thanks a lot everyone. This is the second pair in 4 years I 've had in my yard. One from 4 years ago was struck by a car and it's mate moved on. I'm happy to see these and so far so good as far as staying off the street.

It's shocking to think that people kill these animals for fun.

Really neat animals.

I agree with both.
Very nice photo and I dont quite get the desire to kill them.
I have friends that hunt fox for their fur, along with bobcat. I hunt also, but cant bring my self to shoot either of these species.
