I recently came across an ad from a camera retailer showing the Cameron MC Fader ND filter which is adjustable. Can't seem to find much online about it. My question is, does anyone have any experience with it, positive and or negative. I don't expect it to be of the same quality as Lee filters, but then I can't justify spending that kind of money for a hobby.

Fader ND filters work by using two polarisers (typically a linear and a circular blended together).

They can work fine but your restricted to 2-3 stops of ND at wide angles otherwise the polarisation causes a big dark X on the photo.

light-craft are the usual good brand to go for.
