Yes, Christmas was late this year. Guess Santa couldn't find us in time. But I'm just as happy with this late arrival. Came with an Airport Addicted backpack too!

Guess I'll have to update my signature too, now that I've got the 500L and a new 2xTC.

I love mine!

The ultimate accessory for that lens (besides a Wimberly head) is the drop-in circular polarizer. There really isn't much else.

Congratulations.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

I'm torn about the circular polarizer. Don't yet know if I'll get it. Kinda on the broke side right now. Gotta take a break from equipment purchases until I "heal" up.

No cking2...I'm not a paparazzi....who'd want that job!

You may not have the same need for it that I have. I take a lot of long shots of railroad trains, and I have a lot of problems with reflections, especially off locomotive windshields. In that case, it's probably worth the loss of light.

People with glass like that really suck, don't they?  I con cure with the drop in CP. I use the Canon one for my 300 f/2.8 IS. Great little setup as you can rotate it from the outside. Now if I could only find a good 200 f/1.8 that didn't require giving up body parts.:D

G10, 1DsMkIII, 5D MKII, T4i a bunch of L glass, 70-200F2.8IS, 28-300IS, 35-350, you get the drift, flashes, bags, Epson 4800/7880 Pro, studio stuff and an understanding wife.:D

Be aware of how you live, you could be the only scripture someone may ever read. :D

Regretfully, no pictures yet. Got home after dark and couldn't do much. I'm hoping to get out this weekend and see some wildlife:)

I'll post when I get them.

There is less chance of rust or fungus growing on it if you store it at my place here in sunny Arizona:lol:. Congrats that monster is a beauty!

That just looks like my 70-200 stretched a little....ok, a lot.

Maybe I will rent it someday just to see what it can do :)

Enjoy the new setup....

Very nice belated Christmas present, jb. I am jealous. My new 70-200mm f/4, due in Thursday, is a little small compared to that one. :)

money... I asked my wife if I could use the money that I got for Christmas to purchase a new lens for the camera. She said yes. Luckily, I did not have to tell her about the extra $300 that I had to put with my Christmas money to get it. ;)

... I just realized that you were replying to JB's original post. :o
