So I did some "TF*" work last night for a friend and have had a go at a preliminary edit of the shots. It was my first ever shoot so please be nice :P. Any constructive feedback would be wonderful.

They were all done in a very dark room so all light is artificial.
I used 2 cheap shoot through umbrellas, my 430exii and 2 cheap manual flashes. Took about 2 hours for the session.

Canon 60D
Lenses - tamron 17-50mm f2.8, sigma 10-20mm f3.5 (was a tight squeeze for the one with the chains).
Mainly a split light "fashion" style set up.
Editing in PS and LR.

1. My favourite of the shoot. Looking at it, I may go back and touch up the left armpit. What is the best way to do this :|?

2. Was a difficult one, I am unsure about it but she really wanted it. Was hard to balance the light in this!

Overall your skin is too processed IMO, as for the left armpit use the clone tool at a low opacity to even out the skin.

Thank you.
I have used the "Invert High Pass" with a mask technique for the softening.
Should I use opacity to just tone the smoothing down?

You have some great shots here, especially being your first time, but yes, lower the opacity of the skin smoothing so that it looks like skin and these will all be winners.

Thanks. She did say she like the plastic look before I started shooting but I agree...they look too smooth.

The 2nd one was a ball ache to get the light in.
I can only improve...I hope.
Have an outdoor shoot at night with her on Sunday with a few more ideas I have.

Yeah I think it is overdone too, but if she said she likes it looking more plastic and it is a friend, you could always show her a couple different versions and let her pick.

You did great with your first shoot. It seems as if you have a good understanding of shooting and processing. Can't wait to see your outdoor stuff!
