Received a 135mm f/2 and was playing around with it a bit. I noticed that the AF is extremely fast but it makes a noticeable sound especially when going doing AI SERVO with a lens cap on, like as if a motor was actually revving.

I made a poopy quality video with my cell phone to show what it sounds like:

I watched some other videos and noticed they had this same revving noise.

Wanted to know what you guys think? Is this normal... I've owned several other L lenses like the 24-70 and 70-200 and they were extremely silent.

wrrrrpppppwrpppwrrrzipzipprrrrwrrzip- clik.

Like that? I would not call it quiet, but certainly not abnormal either. Mine sounds just like yours. I do have focus hunt disabled on my 7d, BTW.

What does it do with lens cap off (I assume you shoot 100% that way)?

I got my 135L a few days ago and it sounds the same. It is certainly more noticeable than other lenses.
