PDF question…I’ve been making posters such as attached in CS2. After saving the PSD file I save a PDF file to bring to my local print shop (their request). The posters are 11x17 and the PDF file size is usually about 17mb and sometimes slow to load at the print shop.

My question is, can I reduce the size of the file after I’ve designed by say 50% and save what would then be a 8mb PDF file and yet obtain the same printing resolution? I ask as I am not totally familiar with PDF.

In Acrobat Distiller 6.0 -
Setings-> Edit Adobe PDF Settings
Select the Tab for "Images"
You will see many configurable settings relating to picture resolution, size and image quality. If there is anything you can do to reduce the file size, it will be found there.
