Been stucked at work fo several days, finally I had some free time to go outside. I have been seeing a lot of very nice shots of the short-eared owls that really inspired me. Unfortunately I did not get a shot with these raptors with a prey, hopefully someday I will.

Wonderful shots Jo, love them all... but those owl shots in the open like this are "foreign" to me up here in the deep woods :) ... great work.

You have outdone yourself here, Jo, these are wonderful. I'm particularly envious of the short eared owl shots.

Wow, what an amazing set of images, Jo. Especially the first three shots -the owl on the stump- are fantastic. This is really great work, my friend.

A very impressive set Jo,

Not only do we never see either of these magnificent species here, but the high ISO quality and shutter speeds of your 7d truly amaze me. I must assume that with 400mm these are also significantly cropped... Great work by both the photographer and the camera I say.

Excellent post,

Kenn

You've been hitting them out of the ball park, Jo. Amazing images and PP. Boundary Bay?
