After owning the 5d2 for many years and now upgrading to the 5d3. All I have say is.

WOW

1. Auto ISO works FINALLY with minimum shutter speed settings. (ISO Priority)
2. Auto focus is unbelievable. Cutting down Lightroom cropping by 75% since I can now use all the focus points. It doesn't miss...
3. I can now put in two 32 gig cards in and shoot 30 minute intervals for video. Just that alone, will save me having to explain why I missed part of someones speech or just being nervous about when to stop recording.
4. Audio monitoring!!!
5. The Screen doesn't get fingerprints like before
6. I can't complain about the iso on the 5d2 but on the 5d3, I couldn't ask for anything more.
7. The metering is smarter which means less chimping and more shooting ( I should say less shooting).

Don't know how I will ever use the 5d2 again... :-)

This is after owning it only 1 day, so we shall see what other goodies I find in the future.

All I can say is you're very lucky, cause you're going to find so many more great features on your new toy in the days to come you probably wont be able to list them all. I've had mine since march and I still haven't used some of the features on it yet.

Up till the 30th november I've taken 9833 photos with it and got 8972 photos kept on my drive. Most of the deleted ones have been through bad composition etc. It's quite hard to take a bad photo with the MkIII, I love mine and I intend on keeping it for a long long time. I might just of used all the features by the time I let it go.

Like others on here, I hardly ever use my 7D now as the 5D3 is my go to camera all the time. I really only use the 7D for some aviation shots and really long shots with my Sigma 150-500 OS.

EOS 5D MkIII, EOS 70D, EOS 650D, EOS M, Canon 24-70 f2.8L MkII, Canon 70-200 f2.8L IS MkII, Canon 100 f2.8L Macro, Canon 17-40 f4L IS, Canon 24-105 f4L IS, Canon 300 f4L IS, Canon 85 f1.8, Canon 50 f1.4, Canon 40 f2.8 STM, Canon 35 f2, Sigma 150-500 OS, Tamron 18-270 PZD, Tamron 28-300 VC, 580EX II Flash, Nissin Di866 MkII Flash, Sigma EM 140 Macro Flash and other bits.

Stop it - please. I'm really happy with my 5dii, I don't need a 5diii. Now where is that sand to stick my head into...

Can I come live with you? That's my wife said I would have to do if I did..... Where's that guy who posted his wife said he could upgrade. I need her to talk to mine.

Now (in a serious voice), what is your favorite 5D MkIII feature?

AF is killer, but Silent Mode would probably be my favorite feature.
